Test SMTP:
If
you get an incoming unknown email that doesn't exist in either whitelist or
blacklist, TESC will resend this email back to your Sidekick and move the
original email to Trash. The reason for this is to make this email appear unread
on your Sidekick so you will know you have an new email message. Make sure you
enter the correct SMTP address for this to work, and do Test SMTP in
Option menu. If you get an incoming unknown email that doesn't exist in either
whitelist or blacklist, TESC will resend this email back to your Sidekick and
move the original email to Trash. The reason for this is to make this email
appear unread on your Sidekick so you will know you have an new email message.
Make sure you enter the correct SMTP address for this to work, and do Test
SMTP in Option menu.
Use Whitelist Emails Only:
TESC
will NEVER delete any emails or even spam from your Inbox, it only moves
to Trash. Deleting emails will only be done by you. TESC also has another
popular rule that supports whitelist for only incoming emails. Any new
emails whose "From:" field name are not on the whitelist will automatically be
moved to Trash. You may have to periodically check your Trash folder to see any
friendly emails (that are not in whitelist) in there. This feature is handy when
you receive so many spam emails that it is difficult to keep up with adding
specific keywords for blacklist to grow. To activate this rule, go to Options
menu then choose Use Whitelist Emails Only, then restart the TESC
program. Using this option, the TESC will not be using the SMTP to send email
(except TESC commands) to warn you of incoming emails.
Use Text Message (SMS) Notify:

Using Text Message (SMS) Notify feature is a good way to alert you of important whitelisted emails. You don't have to worry about checking it to see if it is spam or not. This won't interrupt your day-to-day task before TESC has a chance to move it to trash. Getting 10 or 100 spam messages a day and checking it every one of them is a fruitless and tireless task.
Turning off email alert and with this option activated, TESC will automatically send you a text message whenever it detects a good unread email according to whitelist you have created. It alerts you when an important message has arrived on your Sidekick. TESC will not send more Text Message Notify messages until all unread messages has been read to prevent duplicate notifications. Take care of using this feature because your T-Mobile's billing plan determine the charges for each text message you received on your Sidekick. If you have unlimited Data Plan and this feature is for you!
One minor drawback is that once you received Text Message Notify on your Sidekick, it will not immediately alert you until after your 'Pending message alert' option of 2 (or 5 or 10) minutes has passed. Then it will start alerting process. This is the way Sidekick's OS was designed. But using with this feature, and knowing you may guarantee an important message alert is a small price to pay than checking 10 or 100 of spam messages per day.

Please note that using this feature requires the Use Whitelist Emails Only feature and both will be automatically activated. Keep in mind that after you received the Text Message Notify and you quickly read the unread email, suddenly you get another good important message via email but no new Text Message Notify, is because you have to wait until TESC's Check Email Second Intervals has passed and refreshes the Inbox page again. This depends how much interval time you set.
Auto Start TESC:

This will automatically starts TESC at start up and automatically press Go button to begin spam cleaning and then minimize to taskbar.
Open Setting Files:
This
feature provides fast, easy access to Whitelist.txt, Blacklist.txt, and
Setting.ini files without having to run Window Explorer/Notepad from Windows'
Start menu to open them for editing.
Start Logging:
TESC
logs status bar's text into status.log text file so you can see what is
happening while you were away from computer.
Subject Group Mails & Sort Mails:

Subject Group Mails is a good way to use this feature if you are receiving forum's topic emails on your Sidekick or any emails when a keyword in email's "Subject:" are the same but from different sender's names or email addresses.
Add @subject [ispe] (as an example) in whitelist.txt (see example picture at lower left), TESC will automatically checks the email's Subject line instead of sender's name and let email stays in your Inbox folder.
Adding @subject line must be at very top of all other whitelist names for this feature to work. Requires Use Whitelist Emails Only option activated to use this feature.
TESC
can do Sort Mails feature by moving incoming, unread emails to user-defined
folders on your Sidekick at each intervals. Just add " -> " symbol
(look like an arrow) and a
folder's name next to your friend's name in whitelist.txt. TESC also will
automatically creates that folder if not exist on your Sidekick. Only
underscores and spaces are allowed when creating a folder name.
Requires Use Whitelist Emails Only option activated to use this feature.
