Tips:
Never try to unsubscribe spam email, even if they provide you with the html link for an easy "opt out"! This is sure indicator that this spammer will log your "opt out" knowing it is a live email address and pass it on (or sell it) to other spammers - meaning even more spam for you!! Use this to your advantage, add "subscribe", "newsletter", "opt out" to the blacklist and never see them again.
Add only 1 or 2 keywords to the blacklist if necessary for maximum matching.
When adding names or keywords to whitelist and blacklist, make sure there are no blank lines or whitespace to ensure proper matching.
FAQs:
Q: I entered my names, phone number, password, and SMTP address in TESC and exited the program, and then restarting it. My settings didn't get saved, why?
A: Setting will not be saved until you click Go button. After that, your setting will reappear again if starting TESC next time.
Q: I don't want to use the F5 hotkey. Can I use another hotkey?
A: Yes, open the setting.ini with a notepad program and look for SetHotKey=F5. Change the F5 to ESC and save the file and then restart TESC. Only ESC, F5, F11, and PAUSE hotkeys are allowed.
Q: TESC's status says "the current session has timed out" every thirty minutes or two hours, why?
A: Login to your My T-Mobile.com, and navigate to your Inbox. Then click Settings, then the Session Expiration tab. Increase the "Automatically end my session after:" option to 16 or 24 hours and click the Save button.
Q: I also get the "Your access to My T-Mobile has been temporarily blocked." status, how come?
A: My T-Mobile.com limited the amount of login accesses. You only need to run TESC and click the Go button and then leave it alone to do its job. Hitting the hotkeys to stop and clicking the Go button many times within 24 hours will result in your account being blocked. If that is the case, call 611 (or customer support) and tell them you want the account web-access unblocked.
Q: Earlier, I added my friend's names to whitelist.txt, but TESC still deletes that email to Trash! What gives?
A: Make sure your friend’s name is from your My T-Mobile’s Inbox, and that the “From: “ column matches to the name in the whitelist.txt. For example, if sender’s name is “Orion” showing in From: column, then you put Orion in the whitelist.txt (Look in Inbox picture above for example).
Q: Wow! I love this program! It cleans spam emails like it is supposed to. Where can I make a donation for this neat program?
A: Why, thank you. You can do this by click the Help menu, and then click About and you will see the Donate Here link. Donate however much you think its worth for your piece of mind by getting rid of all the annoying spam that clogs up your Inbox! :)
